Lotte De Wilde - Academic assistant (100%)

Hello, my name is Lotte De Wilde and I am 26 years old. I originate from Ghent and I started my assistantship in the department in January. In my spare time, I get energy from various sports - including mainly football - , travelling within or outside Europe, social moments with friends/family and the necessary dose of me-time.
Professionally, I am hugely fascinated mainly by physical medicine, sports medicine and rehabilitation. I am eager to learn, enjoy working together in a team and am always willing to discover new skills in myself and develop them further. I have the healthy ambition to further expand my knowledge and experience, hoping to make a positive contribution within this GhenTendon project led by prof. Luc Vanden Bossche. I look forward to being able and allowed to immerse myself in this in the coming years!

Nils Knockaert - PhD scholarship (100%)

Hello there! Nils Knockaert here, well back from the road! After almost two years with the Flemish government, I missed research so much that I decided to make my life a bit more exciting again with a PhD. Under the expert guidance of prof. Miet De Letter and prof. Patrick Santens, I set to work with data from the Ghent Health Monitor.
I live with my partner and our male cat in the centre of Ghent. Outside work, I can't be found outside the CrossFit box, where I frequently work out. When I am not squatting, I like to play board games, where I am always the undisputed winner (in my mind). Furthermore, I like to go out for a nice dinner and a drink with friends. So, should you want to share a coffee (and a biscuit), feel free to drop by at 2P1!
